Exhausted...

Today, I am tired. Really, I am exhausted.

I haven't done anything much, but it seems like the past week even getting up, showering, drying my hair, and getting out of the house is wearing me down.

I had lunch with my dad today, and then I went over and spent some time with my mom and sweet nephew, Judd. After that, I came home to make dinner (already exhausted), and spilled meat sauce from my lasagna all over the floor in my CLEAN kitchen floor.

Now, I am sitting on the couch resting....finally.

We are officially 13 days away from our due date...bring on the baby!!

Landry's Nursery and Pregnancy Update

Here are a few pictures of Landry's nursery so far. We still need to put the curtains up, but that I think that is the only thing left!

We love her sweet little nursery! It is small, but I think she will fit. :) It is so funny how much room we have taken up for such a small person! She is taking over!!

Pregnancy Update:
We had an appointment with our midwife today, and she said Landry is sitting really, really low. She was pretty surprised with us still being a few weeks away from our due date. We are not dialated yet, but she said that could happen pretty quickly.

Landry might be here sooner than we thought! We can't wait to see her sweet little face. I thank God every day for the precious time I have had to spend with her throughout the pregnancy...what a blessed time this has been! We are really looking forward to her getting here to officially join our family and meet her sweet daddy!

What was for dinner!?

Last night we had one of my favorite things for dinner...HEALTHY Taco Salads! My friend Kristin got us started on this mexican seasoning from Ozark Natural Foods that is totally yummy without all the additives. It is really tasty with our ground beef that our family had butchered and lots and lots of veggies. Micah LOVES these salads, and we both are so full after we eat them. Yum, yum, yum....can't wait for Mexican night again!

My "helper" for delivery...

Well, my mom is supposed to be my "helper" during delivery so that Micah and our midwife can focus on important things. Our plan is to have my mom do laundry, make food, take pictures, and all sorts of really important stuff.

Guess what...? We are 22 days away from our due date, and she is leaving the COUNTRY for a whole week. Then, she has the nerve to tell me not to have the baby while she is gone.

What.A.Jerk.

She is going to Panama to deliver wheelchairs to some needy folks, so I guess I can forgive her. However, I cannot promise that I won't repeatedly tell Landry that her Mimi wasn't here when she was born. :)

Mom, hope you have a great trip! I will really try to hold off until you get back!

Look what Micah did!!

Last night, Micah was hard at work putting together baby stuff. Here are a few pictures of the results...

If you have never tried to assemble baby products, it doesn't seem to be the easiest. It always cracks me up when we try to put "simple" things together and have so much trouble...we are educated people!! Micah may have had a few choice words for the products we picked, but he got it done.
Thank you honey...I love you!!

SLEEP!

I wake up almost every day around 7:30 and can't go back to sleep. HOWEVER, the past two days I have slept until 9:00 or 9:30! I have been told by a few people that this might be my body preparing to have the baby soon. With us only having 26 days left, I believe them!! I really think that sweet Landry will be here before we know it.
We will see...! :)

I am hoping to have pictures of the nursery ready to post early next week...keep checking back!

100 Dollars

Ok, so I know I am going to sound like a cheapo, BUT it seems like everywhere I have gone for the past week has cost me $100 (at least!). This cost $100...

I know that it isn't fair that you can't see everything that is inside, but I can assure you that it shouldn't have cost over $100. Here is a hint...lots of hangers and a few nightlights.

I can say that I felt better about today's trip that one late last week where my $100 got me HALF a bag full of stuff at the natural foods store. Ummm hello, that isn't natural!

So, as I transform myself from working wife to stay at home mother, I can already see myself clipping coupons with a screaming child in the background. Ahhh...can't wait!

36 Weeks!

We are now 36 weeks along in our pregnancy. It has flown by SO fast!!

Getting Started...

Micah and I have decided to start a blog (obviously). We are so excited to share our journey of our marriage, becoming parents, me transitioning from working to staying at home, and all sorts of other useless information with you. :) We are so glad that you are interested in watching our family grow.

Right now, we are waiting for our sweet little Landry Elise to arrive. She is scheduled to be here on April 13th, but our midwife says that it could really be any day now. We are so excited, but nervous all at the same time. We still have LOTS to do to prepare for her arrival. Off to work on washing some little bitty clothes...!
