Lots of Randomness...

We are staying busy in the Gibson household, so it seems like forever since I have been able to download pictures and post. We are officially moved in to our new home, but we are still living out of boxes and trying to get settled. Landry is 13 1/2 months old now, and Collier is due to arrive in 2 short months. Lots and lots of exciting things happening! :)

Now, the randomness...

Landry has been such a trooper throughout our vacation and move. She has learned to sleep in any crib/pack-n-play as long as we take her music machine that she loves. It is much easier to drag around than a bed! She has been switched back and forth between beds for the past 2 weeks...through all of this, she has still been sleeping at least 10 hours a night. She is such a flexible and happy baby, and I am so thankful for that!

Here is a picture of Landry napping this week at her Gigi and Papa-D's. She has started sleeping with one pacifier in her mouth and then one in each hand. :) She prefers snuggling with her paci's even over "Curly" the pig. This might be a hard one to break, but it is such a sweet habit for now. She collects her paci's and says "ni-ni" when she is ready to go to sleep. Love it!

Micah got Landry dressed this morning for church. He asked me what she should wear, and I told him just to grab a dress out of her closet. This is what she had on when I found her....
e
Um, not okay dad! Is it only obvious to me that this is a SHIRT? :) I am sure he will not be this lenient with her clothing as she gets older!

Landry just learned how to drink out of a straw. She has been hooked on her straw sippy cup that her friend Dixon got her for her birthday. She carries it all over the place, and she likes the funny noise it makes when the drink is all gone.

Sweet, sweet girl. :) She makes our lives so much more exciting than they used to be!

We are home...kind of.

We are back from vacation in Florida, and we are moving. We got back thinking our house was going to be completely ready to move in, but that wasn't the case. We have moved most of our things to the new house, but it is still not livable for Landry and me with all the paint fumes, etc. Currently, we are sleeping on an air mattress and Landry is in her pack-n-play at our "old" house until our tenants move in on Wednesday. Then, we will probably stay with my parents for a few nights until all the final touches are done. We are excited, but it has definitely been a process!

On another note, we had Landry's 1 year (13ish month) pictures done before we left town. Here are a few...more to come soon!

I just love her so much. I miss her even when she is just in the next room sleeping. She is the best thing ever! I hope her brother turns out half as cool as she is. :)

More Destin...

We are still in Destin and having a great time. We fly back home late tomorrow night, and we are excited to get back to the craziness of moving and starting a whole different chapter in our lives!

This trip has been pretty relaxing, but (as most parents know) vacations are not quite the same with little ones around. Our mornings are spent waking up, eating breakfast, and then getting Landry back down for a nap. Then, we hang out in the condo until she wakes up around 11:30 or 12. By that time, we have to eat lunch before we are able to take her out to the beach. She is MUCH happier if she gets a good morning nap, and she is not one of those babies that will nap on a towel in the sand. She likes her crib, and overall that makes my life easier. I am happy to miss a little bit of my vacation to make sure she stays on her lovely little schedule. :)

Here are a few pictures from the past few days...

Our family of 3 1/2! :)

Sweet little baby...

Mommy and Landry swimming...she loves the water, but NOT floating on her back.

Getting warmed up with Aunt Linda. It has been pretty cool, and poor baby's lips turn blue each time we get her out of the water!

And my adorable hubby. I know, he is extremely good looking...I am a lucky girl! :)

Back to reality (and lots of rain in NWA) in a few short days!

Day One in Destin...

We made it to Destin about 10:00 pm on Saturday night. We flew on Vision Airlines from Little Rock, and the flight was delayed about an hour. Luckily, there were 16 kids on the flight, so we were all pushing bedtime and trying to keep all the babies occupied. Landry acted so good, and we were thankful to not worry about having the only screaming child on the plane. She stayed awake the whole flight and made friends with a 2 year old named Hawkins in the seat in front of us...he was precious! They brought us chocolate chip cookies as a snack, and Landry ate the whole bag herself. :) $19 per ticket was absolutely the best idea ever!

Oh, I almost forgot the best part! We hadn't bought Landry her own ticket, but the lady beside us moved to an extra seat, so Landry got to think she was BIG stuff. She loved looking out the window and crawling from seat to seat.

We had a great first day on the beach. The weather was a little cool, but we still had plenty of sun to get out in the sand for a few hours. Landry enjoyed digging in the sand (eating a little bit), swimming with her daddy, and getting lots of attention. We are off to a great start for the rest of our week!

Last night, we went to eat at a yummy restaurant called Stinky's. It was much better than it sounds! :)

Cousin Chelsea fed Landry her first popsicle. She didn't know what to think about it being so cold!

All the girls piled on the bed to watch the Desperate Housewives finale. :) Yes, we all watch trash T.V....it runs in the family.

This morning, Landry decided to wake up at 6:00 instead of her usual 8:00, so we took her out on the patio to try to keep it quiet for everyone else.

She ate her banana happily while we drank our coffee. It was so nice! And...yes, she is wearing her shoes over her footie pajamas. We are rednecks!

Our little blue eyed beauty...

We went to a birthday party for Landry's 2nd cousin, Lydia, on Friday night. She turned 6 years old and had her party at a local park. It could not have been a better night to be outside, and we could not have been celebrating a cuter little six year old!
While we were there, Aunt Emily did a mini photo session with our sweet girl. She is just getting so big and changing so much every single day. I think she is beautiful, and I love that she has her daddy's perfect blue eyes. :)

Thanks Aunt Emily for the fun pics!

My girl LOVES food!

Landry is a girl after mommy's heart....she loves food! She is such a good eater, and we have yet to find anything that she refuses to eat. She prefers to feed herself at this point, but she will let me feed her yogurt or applesauce if she decides she wants it enough. :) It blows me away that she can eat as much as I do some mornings for breakfast. She just continues to stuff her face until every bit is gone.

For breakfast last week, Landry ate 2 scrambled eggs with cheese and a piece of toast.

She loved it!

Messy from eating broccoli and meatloaf for lunch...

Eating her "appetizer" at a restaurant this weekend. She didn't even pucker up when eating this lemon!

I am so thankful that she likes all types of food-even vegetables. She is such a sweet girl...except for when we try to eat and not share with her! :)

Headbands...

Landry is doing new things every single day. She is constantly making us laugh at the things she figures out on her own. Her newest thing is wanting to wear my headbands. I gave her one to play with the other day, and she kept putting it on her head. At first, it was like she was wearing a tiara, but then she figured out the right way to wear it. After that, she would NOT take it off.

This cracks me up because she does not like wearing her own headbands very much, but mommy's is a whole different story! She is one funny girl! AND, look at how long those legs are getting...she is growing so fast!
