Roly-Poly!

Landry is officially a Roly-Poly! She is rolling over regularly from her back to her stomach. A few times, she has even kept rolling on to her back again. So much fun!

Below are a few cute pictures of her holding her head up. She is the sweetest thing ever. :)

Landry on our bed watching T.V. She loves the noise and colors!

Sweet, chubby cheeks!

A little grin...

Enough Mom!

Playing with Mimi...

She loves her Baby Einstein "iPod." (Thanks Rachel!)
Before we know it, Landry is going to be crawling. She already scoots around when she gets on her belly...it is so funny! In her pack-n-play at night, she gets herself in so many different positions. It is really amazing how mobile she is. Landry is definitely going to be a mess! :)
At the church nursery, they tell us that she wiggles and moves more than any baby. Also, I was at Wal-Mart the other day, and the lady behind me in line said, "She is very vocal!" I think she was trying to say, "Shut that baby up," but Landry doesn't listen. We are preparing ourselves to have a talkative, busy girl in a few years. I can't even imagine...

Hi Cassie!! :)

Yesterday, my friend Cassie came over to play and see Landry. She lives in St. Louis now, so it was super special to get to spend some time with her! Landry was laughing a lot, but we can never get a picture at the right time. :) I need to work on that!

Here is Landry giving "the look." My dad says she has that look like she thinks we are all idiots. That is probably exactly what she is thinking!! :)

Landry loves to pull up and look around. She is SO strong!

Landry was focused on the light coming in from the kitchen, but I still LOVE this picture. Thanks for coming over Cassie...we love you!

I like my sleep!

Landry is in a transition phase right now. We have been trying to transition her from sleeping swaddled to sleeping without the swaddle now that she is rolling over. She did really great the first two nights, but since then, I haven't had much sleep! I enjoy sleep a lot, so I have been a bit of a crab the past two days. We are really ready to get this sleep thing figured out.

Last night, Landry slept on her tummy. She went to sleep on our bed with me patting her back, and then we moved her to her bed. She slept for 4 hours and then woke up to eat. After that, I could not get her to go back to sleep...especially not on her stomach. She seemed to like it, but she has to be tricked in to falling asleep that way right now. :)

From the pictures below, you will see that Landry is having no trouble napping...that is for sure!

Landry and Micah on the couch. I love how her little hands are folded!

Landry taking her afternoon nap. She REALLY loves sleeping on her side like this, but at night she just can't seem to find that middle ground without rolling over. I have tried the sleep wedges, but she arches her back and rolls right over them. Ugh!

So tired...

I really have been enjoying all of Landry's different phases. Even though I am a little sleep deprived, I still LOVE getting up with her at night. She is the sweetest little angel, and I love snuggling with her. Every day she seems to be doing more and more. I wish things would SLOW DOWN!

I should be sleeping, but...

The other night after we put Landry down to sleep, I heard her laughing. I went to check on her in her pack-n-play, and she was definitley playing and not sleeping. She had Curly the pig with her, and the had knocked over her Sleep Sheep and was kicking around with him.

It is so funny to me that she is actually noticing and grabbing for things now. She loves to grab on to toys, clothes, jewelry, hair...anything she can get her hands on.

This picture is from before she saw me looking at her.

This is after she knew she was caught! :)
Funny, funny girl!

This sweet baby is...

3 MONTHS OLD!

I cannot even believe that Landry is 3 months old, but at the same time it seems like we have had her much longer than that! She is such a part of our lives now that I can't imagine not having her with me all the time. People told me that it would be like this, but I don't listen! :)
The past few days have been really exciting for us. Landry rolled over (and over and over) for the first time on Saturday night...it was so fun! She arches that back and just goes for it!
Since she is now rolling, it makes me nervous to swaddle her at night. I did on Saturday, but she was really trying to roll, and I worry that without her arms she won't be able to lift her head up when she is super sleepy. So, last night we slept for the first time without the swaddle. She did GREAT! She slept 6 hours straight, woke up to eat, and then slept another 5 hours! I am so proud of her! :)

My broken rule...

Ok, let me just start this post by saying that these pictures are pitiful. It is hard to get quality pictures while a swing is moving. :)

Before Landry got here I always said that I didn't want to be a mother that used the T.V. as a babysitter. I still feel that way, but now I say I will stop when she is old enough to know. Ha! Funny how things change.

We have figured out that Landry really likes people to be in the room with her. It doesn't matter what we are doing, she just wants someone close. I learned the other day that if I turn the T.V. on to the food network, the people are big enough that Landry thinks they are talking to her! She will sit in her swing and laugh and talk to them for a few minutes and then take a really good nap. Bonus=I get the house cleaned!

Here are a few pictures of the process. I didn't get any of the talking and laughing because this day, she just passed out!

Landry watching Giada cook!

Getting sleepy...

Passed out!

This might not sound like it is very exciting, but IT IS! She will not have much to do with her swing without the T.V. being on, so this really gives me free hands during the day to get some chores done. Talk about eating my words...:)!

Our sweet girl...

We are having so much fun with our sweet little girl. One funny thing that she is doing right now is getting "bug-eyed" when we take pictures of her. It is funny, but frustrating! :) My friend Kate was over the other day to take Landry's 4 month pictures...the faces she was making were cracking us up! Can't wait to see how they turned out.

Here are a few pictures that Micah took the other day. I still think she is precious...even with those big bug eyes!

Precious Black and White pics...

Micah and I were looking back through some pictures of Landry, and I ran across these pictures from when she was 1 month old. I LOVE THEM, so I thought I would share them with you all.

Laughing and Smiling...

Landry was hanging out with my Mamaw (her Great-Mamaw) on the 4th. They came outside to get me so I could see how much she was laughing and smiling. I caught a few photos that I think are PRECIOUS. Landry is starting to have such a fun personality. She loves to be talked to, and she tries really hard to talk back. She will coo a lot and then laugh at herself. Too much fun!

4th of July

For the 4th of July, we spent time with both sets of my parents. We cooked out lunch with my mom, and then we went out to my dad's that evening to eat and shoot of fireworks. I am not a huge fireworks fan, but we still had a really great time. I didn't take too many pictures, but here are a few random ones that I did get.

Uncle Tyler was home for the weekend, so it was lots of fun!

My brothers being silly with Judd and Landry. She is thinking, "what is going on?!"

Daddy napping and Landry hanging out on my Mom's couch.

My nephew, Gage, getting messy at Dado's house.

Our lil' family. :)

Daddy's little sparkler. :)

My dad playing with sweet Judd.

I told you the pictures were random, but at least I got a few. I have a really cute series of laughing pictures of Landry that I will post later this week. I think they are cute enough for their own post. :)

The many sleep positions of Landry...

Landry's sleep habits are pretty funny. She still sleeps in our room in her pack-n-play, and I can't imagine being ready to move her in to her room yet. I like to be able to hear her and check on her without having to walk across the house (yes, I do know about baby monitors!). Up to this point, she has basically demanded to be swaddled any time she wanted to sleep...this includes her carseat, stoller, while she is held, everything.
We have been trying to get her used to napping without the swaddle, and things have been going okay. We still swaddle her to sleep at night because it helps her sleep 7 hours straight. The doctor said that some babies are even swaddled until they are 9 months old (I hope it doesn't take that long)!
So, Landry normally wakes up between 3-4 and then she wakes up again between 5-6. During her last time up, I normally let her sleep the rest of the night in our bed. I love cuddling up with her! :)
Here are some precious pictures of our angel sleeping. I am trying to soak up every minute of this because it is going by way too fast. I keep praying that time will slow down...we are having too much fun!

Here is Landry napping without her swaddle. She wakes up about every 5-10 minutes because she hits herself or knocks her pacifier out. Hoping that will get better...

Hugged up with Curly.

This is how Landry sleeps at night. Snug as a bug in her Miracle Blanket with her Sleep Sheep running in the background.

And this is how she wakes up in the morning. No swaddle and cuddled up with Mommy or Daddy.

My loves! So sweet!

I just love being Micah's wife and Landry's mommy. I can't imagine anything better! I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful 4th of July! We are looking forward to a fun day with the families...we will post new pictures soon!

Bow Face...

I normally remember to take Landry's bow off before we go for a ride in the car. She is really bad about pulling it down over her face on accident, and then she will SCREAM the whole time we are going somewhere. Yesterday, I forgot. Here are a few pictures of her bow face. She was actually so tired that she didn't even notice that it happened!

Too sweet...I love this little nugget!

Sweet Smiles

Landry is really starting to smile a lot, and we are loving it. It is so fun for us to talk to her and for her to smile big and laugh out loud. She is such a precious doll.
Landry loves attention and just for people to be in the same room as her. She will start fussing as soon as we walk out of a room....even if we have been sitting far away from her! She somehow knows that we aren't there, and she wants us back! This is something we are going to work on...:)

Here are a few sweet pictures of Landry playing yesterday...

I love it that she has her daddy's eyes!

We are really looking forward to our 4th of July weekend. We are planning to spend lots of time hanging out with friends and family, cooking out, and just being outside. CAN.NOT.WAIT!
