Boring or Just Busy?

I am not sure if my life has just been extremely busy or really boring lately, but I have not taken many pictures. Here is a little bit of what we have been up to...
  • Landry is now 10 1/2 weeks old. I had to count on the calendar because I am a bad mom and I don't keep up with that stuff very well! :) She is smiling constantly, and I LOVE it. She has such a sweet little personality, but she also has a lot of sass! This sweet girl and I are probably going to go round and round one day, but I am sure I am sassier than she will ever be! She loves to snuggle (I prayed for that!), to eat, to have music playing, to stare at the T.V., and to go on walks outside. She is sleeping 6-7 hour stretches right now, and it is heavenly!

  • We went down to Micah's parents again last weekend and had so much fun visiting. We got to spend lots of fun time with Gigi, Papa-D, and Aunt Emily. I learned how to shell beans (I think it is called shelling), and it was so much fun! We ate lots of yummy vegetables grown in Micah's mom's garden.

  • We have been doing lots of shopping. Landry has a closet full of clothes for next summer that we got for at least 40% off. I love clothes, but I love a bargain on clothes even more!

  • We went to the Farmer's Market in Fayetteville today (Tuesday) with my friend, Kate. It was really nice to miss the huge Saturday crowd and still get lots of awesome vegetables. Kate and I even split a tub of peaches that I cannot wait to do something with! After the market, we went to eat yummy grilled cheese sandwiches at Hammontree's off of Dickson. Whoever thought of opening a restaurant that revolved around grilled cheese was a genious...the Caprese Melt was unbelievable. Then, since we hadn't eaten enough, we went over to Bliss Cupcake Cafe for a quick dessert. Fun, fun day!

Like I said, I haven't taken many pictures, so here are the only ones I have.

Landry napping in her bouncey seat. She is really taking a liking to Curly the Pig! :)

Landry is a good online shopping buddy...even though she falls asleep sometimes!

Sweet, sweet baby. I could hold her forever!

I hope everyone has a great week! I will be sure to take some pictures this weekend to be able to post some more recent shots.

Father's Day Weekend...

On Father's Day weekend we went down to Lavaca to spend some time with Micah's family. We had so much fun going out to their farm one evening and taking some pictures. It is BEAUTIFUL...wait til you see these pictures!

Our little family in front of the old dump truck. I think it is so neat, but I might be crazy! :)

Papa-D and Landry

Landry with Papa-D and Gigi in one of her two gardens. Thanks Gigi for all the yummy veggies!
It was a gorgeous night when we went out to check the garden and walk around a bit. Again, Landry LOVES to be outside, so she was having a good time. I think Micah had a good first Father's Day weekend...such a special day that only happens once!

2 months!

Landry turned 2 months old last week. I cannot believe how fast it is going by! She is laughing and smiling a lot now, and she really loves to be held and talked to. She is the most precious thing in the whole world, and I am just smitten being her mommy! :)

Curly the Pig

We tried introducing Landry to her new friend, Curly the Pig, the other day while she was in the swing. We don't think she likes him...

At first she didn't know what to think.

Then, he seemed to be invading her space.

Then, she had enough. He had to go. :)

Some days, this is my life...

There are days (not very many) where Landry wants to do nothing except for be held. So...there are days where she has to be carried around in the sling if I want to get much done. I love our slings, and I am finally figuring out how to use them properly. I think they are too cute!

A Family of Fish...

We went swimming at my Dad's house last weekend...one of our very favorite things to do. Landry LOVES the water and LOVES being outside when it is warm. She swam for a while with Micah, and then she napped a lot beside the pool. We love getting to go out there and spend time with our family of fish!

Hanging out in her swing by the pool...

Worn out after swimming...

Our little family...

Below is one of my favorite pictures of Micah throwing this cutie (my newphew, Gage) into the pool.

Wow! Landry is going to have to learn to rough house with a daddy like that!

We are so thankful to have a place to go and spend time with our family this summer. I love that Landry will have a chance to swim her little heart out whenever she wants. I am sure there will be more swimming pictures to come!

All 4 Generations...

We got a picture the other day of the 4 generations of girls in our family! I feel so blessed that Landry gets to know not only her grandparents, but so many great-grandparents as well!

Below is my grandmother (G.G.), my mom (MiMi), Landry, and me.

6 week check-up...

Last week we went to Landry's 6 week check-up. She is doing great and weighs almost 11 pounds!! I don't have much else to say about the visit, but I do have a few cute pictures from the day. :)

Here is Landry before the appointment...

And here she is EXHAUSTED afterwards. Too sweet!

Normally she won't sleep without being swaddled. She was VERY tired.

Fun times at MiMi's...

On Wednesdays my mom watches my nephew, Judd. Landry and I try to make it by there to visit and play most weeks. Judd is so funny when he loves on his cousin...he will run up as soon as we get there and kiss her hands and feet. He doesn't understand yet that she is too little to play. Yesterday, he wanted her to play catch with him!

Judd checking Landry out when we first got there.

He loves to give her pats on the back. We have to remind him to be easy sometimes. :)

Size comparison. Landry has a ways to go before she catches up! I have no doubts that she will be wider than him though!

We had such a fun day hanging out and getting to spend time with Judd and MiMi yesterday. At one point while we were there, MiMi went in the other room to change Landry's diaper. Judd and I were playing and all the sudden he said, "Where's Landry?" (not quite that clearly). I told him that MiMi went to change her diaper and that they would be back in just a minute. When my mom walked back in the room with her, Judd said, "There HE is!" I don't know if he will like her as much once he realizes she is a girl! :)

After we left, I tried to get a few more shots of Landry. She was NOT having it!

I promise after I captured these adorable shots on camera, I picked her up and loved on her a little extra for being so mean. :)

Landry is a Dancer!

I put Landry in her room yesterday to play on her floor mat and listen to her iPod (yes, she has an iPod and I don't.) :) Here are a few pictures of what happened...

This is how it all started...

I heard some squealing and came back in the room to find...

and then...

Landry had danced her way to the corner, and she DIDN'T like her head being pinned down. She is definitely quite the dancer already!
