A lot of cheeeeeeese!

It is so funny trying to take pictures these days. I get a lot of action shots, but to have Landry actually sit down and let me get a picture is rare....especially when I try to have her pose with anyone else. I guess she just likes the attention being on her! :) She will say "cheeeeeeese" every time I get the camera out, but then she takes off running. I know it is a phase, and I know we will look back and laugh at how busy she was in all these pictures, but I would like to have a few family pictures of us all looking at some point! :)

Last week, we went to my mom's house when she had my niece and nephew for the day. We tried to get a picture of all four kiddos together, and this was the best we got...

Ha! Not exactly what we were going for!

Collier (3 1/2 weeks) and Laurel (3 months). At least they are still...for now!

All by herself...just the way she likes it!

Collier and Judd (3 years). I got him to smile big and say "boys rule!" LOL.
That's it...nothing too exciting. Landry LOVES her cousins-especially the older ones that can jump around and entertain her. She will laugh and laugh with them while they play. She isn't so interested in the babies right now, but I am sure she will have fun bossing them around some day soon!

Newborn Pictures!

We had Collier's newborn pictures made when he was a week old by Stephanie Henderson Photography. She does all of our family pictures, and we think she does a fabulous job! She is so patient with the little ones (and the big one...) when they don't want to cooperate. Here are some of our favorites...I will post a copy of the birth announcement and the picture we used for it after I mail them this weekend. :)

We tried to get a few family pictures, but they didn't quite turn out. Either Landry wasn't looking or you couldn't see Collier's face...at least we tried!

Since they wouldn't cooperate in a group, we got a few pictures of Landry alone. You can tell what her attitude was that morning. Ha! That girl does not hide how she feels one.little.bit.

So glad to have these sweet memories of our babies documented!

Thanks Steph! We love the pictures, and as much time as we spent together this time, you are starting to feel like family! :)

Chocolate!!

I am a few days behind on blogging, but planning to get all caught up. LOL...I have been planning that for a while now. :) Monday was Labor Day, so Micah was off work. We love when he is home with us during the day! We got up that morning, and Micah decided to make his Memaw's chocolate gravy and biscuits for breakfast. He had never made it before, but YUM! Landry loved it and ate an entire biscuit (and 2 scrambled eggs) herself!

She was a mess when we finished, but she seemed to enjoy the gooey chocolate between her fingers! :)

Little brother decided to sleep in, so we got to spend some special time with Landry that morning. We all enjoyed getting to eat and cuddle on the couch together before he woke up.

I love watching Collier sleep and seeing all of his funny sleeping positions. He was super comfy in this picture and was even drooling...ha! He is such a sweet little thing!

I am pretty sure we just hung around the house the rest of the day and played with the babies and got caught up on house stuff. Can't promise that though, it HAS been 4 days, and my brain is MIA right now! I guess we can blame that on sweet babies and too little sleep. :)

Razorback game!

We decided to be brave and try taking both the kids to tailgate with us for the Razorback game on Saturday. Going to the games and tailgating is something that Micah and I have really enjoyed doing together, and I have been a little bummed that this is going to be a struggle for us with Collier being so little and breastfeeding. It worked out where my little brother and his girlfriend, Emily, were in town for the weekend. They went down to the game with us to tailgate, Tyler used my ticket to the game, and Emily and I left with the kids before the game started. It really couldn't have worked out better! Even though it was hot, we had such a good time. I thought Landry looked precious, and she loved getting dressed up and getting lots of attention! :) Here are a few pictures...
Ready to leave the house!
Picking grass and stealing food at the tailgate. :)
Our little family of 4!

You can't tell, but Collier looked like a cutie too in a little personalized Razorback onesie from my sweet friend, Lyndsay. I carried him in a sling most of the time while we were walking around, so he and I were HOT AND SWEATY within about 5 minutes. It was a lot of fun for us to do this once, but I doubt we take both kids again for a while...just too much work and not the relaxing time that tailgating is supposed to be! :)

Tyler and Micah had fun though, and the HOGS WON which is the most important part! If we actually plan having a baby next time, I will be sure to plan around football season...we didn't have these issues with an April baby! Not to mention that we didn't have to be pregnant in the steamy summer weather either. If you are reading this and considering getting pregnant...shoot for an April delivery...all babies should really be born then. Ha!

Isn't he the cutest?

We can't believe that Collier is already 3 weeks (and 2 days!) old. It is really going by quickly, and I am trying to focus on slowing down and enjoying him being a little newborn. Things are crazy for us most days, but I know I will look back and regret not taking pictures, cuddling, and soaking up all of his sweetness if I don't make time to do it. My dirty, dusty house can wait...I need to love on my babies! :)

Collier is such a sweety. He likes to snuggle, is a good sleeper (normally we get between 3-4 hour stretches at night), loves to eat, is tough as nails when his big sister "loves" on him, and is just the most precious little boy I have ever seen. :) He looks a lot like Landry did when she was tiny, but I am hoping that he will look just like his daddy as he gets bigger. What a sweet little bundle he is, and I just can't even imagine our family without him!

Double the fun!

Oh boy...we have been having a lot of fun at our house this week. Landry is at such a fun age, and she is entertaining almost every second she is awake (except for when she is throwing those terrible tantrums that are starting!). She was really getting in to taking care of her babies before Collier arrived, but now it has become more of an obsession. She is so sweet to her babies and wants to take them everywhere with her. Well, I better not lie...she is sweet to her babies until she throws them down, steps on them, bangs their heads into the fireplace, etc....we are working on that. :)

The other day, we were about to leave the house, and I couldn't find Landry! When I found her, she had gone to collect her baby and fill her purse with pacifiers...she is one prepared mama!

And such a little mess! :)

As much as she wants to take care of her baby dolls, her brother is a little bit of a different story. I think the jealousy might be starting a little bit. Collier was all bundled up on the couch the other day while I was fixing lunch, but this is what I found when I came back to check on him...

And a few minutes later, I found this!

Sneaky little thief! I guess she wanted the blanket, but I don't understand why his socks had to come off too. :)

There is always something going on at our house, and I am loving that! I love these two so much, and they are definitely keeping me on my toes!

We are still here!

We are still here! Yesterday (Monday) was my first "normal" day home with the babies all by myself. It was wonderful! Both babies got baths and dressed before noon, they both took two naps at the same time, I got some things done around the house, and I was even able to shower and dry my hair before Micah got home from work. May seem like it isn't a big deal, but it was a success for us! :) We have had wonderful families from our church bringing us meals over the past two weeks...we had one delivered last night, so I didn't even have to worry about dinner. Such a blessing!

Landry still has 8 teeth coming in, so she has been a little grumpy. Even after sharing a yummy bowl of ice cream with mommy!

If you look closely, you can see all the bottom teeth coming in. The "pointy" ones, and the ones behind them. Poor baby!!

This sweet thing is content eating and sleeping! He eats SO much, and has been consistently gaining around an ounce a day since he was born. I am so thankful that he is a great eater and that breastfeeding is going smoothly, but he wears me out when he wants to eat for a straight hour or two!

We introduced the pacifier last night, and he did okay with it. I have always said that I wouldn't do this before 6 weeks or so, but he was just ready. Obviously, he prefers to nurse, but it will be nice to have an option to soothe him when I know he can't possibly be hungry!

Landry is still being a sweet big sister. She loves to be close to Collier and snuggle with him while she watches T.V. I have to watch her to make sure she is gentle with him, but she does great most of the time!

This morning, our fall Bible study started back at church. We are reading through the Bible in one year, and I LOVE going on Tuesday mornings. Amazingly, we got out the door and made it on time! It was great to be back, and it was fun getting to see everyone after our summer break. One funny thing that happened before we left the house was after I got Landry dressed and her shoes on. I told her we were going "bye-bye," and she got SO excited. Collier was in the bathroom in his bouncy seat while I finished getting dressed and getting our stuff in the car. Landry went in to where he was and kneeled down beside him. She knows she isn't supposed to touch him, so she got her hand about an inch away from his face and started waving and saying "bye-bye! See ya!" It was hilarious! I told her that we had to bring brother with us, and she didn't seem too happy about that. She got over it quickly! :) Love these sweet memories we are making!
