I hadn't posted pictures yet, but Bretton's adoption was finalized in Oklahoma on the 20th of December. Micah and I made a quick trip over right before a big ice storm hit their area. We were glad to get it done and glad to get back on the road and out of there before the ice!
Our adoption experience in Oklahoma has been completely different than our process in Arkansas. To be completely honest with you, it's been a pain in the butt with lots of unnecessary red tape. We are beyond thankful that it is complete, and we don't have any other things left to take care of except waiting on his updated birth certificate to arrive! Parke's adoption was finalized in 6 days, and Bretton's was finalized in 117 days. Slight difference. :)
The judge asked us a bunch of questions, and then Micah and I swore he would be ours forever! We are so thankful for our little Bretton blessing, and I am beyond thrilled that he is officially a Gibson now!
It was an early Merry Christmas to us!
