The week of Dr.'s appointments...

Last week was filled with all sorts of Dr.'s appointments. Poor Landry is used to getting to stay at home and play, but instead was being drug all over town and having to sit in "quiet places." :) She did pretty good though! I figure that it is just going to get crazier with two here, so I am glad we got a few things out of the way.

First, I had a dentist appointment to have my teeth cleaned. I love having my teeth cleaned...they always feel SO good after. My daddy is my dentist, so it was okay that I brought little missy with me, and she was able to see everyone and say hi! We tried to have my dad look at her teeth after my appointment, but she pursed her little lips and was having nothing to do with it. We went to lunch afterwards, and she would open wide for my dad to give her bites of food or drinks out of the straw. He said we should have just bribed her at his office. :) I should have made Dado look at the camera to get a good picture of them together, but I didn't. Maybe next 6 month visit!

Then, Landry had to go to an eye specialist to have her eyes checked. I had a lazy eye growing up, and it is something that is genetic. My parents caught it when I was 3 or 4, and I had to wear a patch over my "good eye" until I was 9 to try to make the lazy eye stronger. I still have some permanent damage to my vision in that eye, so we want to try to catch our babies super early if they have an issue. We had been told we could have her checked after the age of 1, so we did. At this point, things are looking good...she is a little near sided in both eyes (.75 each...she gets THAT from her daddy!), but the doctor said that is something she can definitely grow out of. Also, he said it is a good sign that the number is the same in both eyes. We will go back in a year to be checked again.

The last appointment of the week was our ultrasound on Thursday. Even though Micah was with us, Landry wanted to be right up on the table with me. :) She was not very entertained by the baby on the screen, her toys, the mirror, food, or anything else. She wanted to touch the "goop" on my stomach and just lay there and be a big fuss. We really think she knows something is changing, and she is not very happy about it. :) We love her so much, she keeps our life entertaining!!
